I am sure we are all hearing about another shutdown and devastating wave of the coronavirus in this pandemic. It is affecting our homes, our businesses, and our livelihood. First, I want to say I hope you and your families are healthy and safe, and if you’ve been affected by the virus I declare healing in your body. The aftermath of the pandemic may be presenting different challenges in our lives right now so this Motivation Monday is meant to ease any stress and help you get centered about what to do next to best prepare. God brings blessings in the midst of chaos and uses all things together for His good, so we can all determine our next best move by being divinely guided by God.
I was deeply inspired by this talk years ago by Oprah Winfrey at Stanford University. Sometimes we get stuck when we face challenges or failure. It can be paralyzing and discouraging. She sums this up in a profound way, reminding us that even in the midst of a difficult season there's a supreme calling on our lives. “The way through the challenge is to get still and ask yourself, what’s the next right move? Your life is bigger than this one moment. Failure is meant to point you in a different direction.” -Oprah
Our lives are bigger than this one challenging time that the world is facing and we will continue to get through this together. Watch the full clip here:
